FT. MADISON - The Columbus High Scxhool girls golf team added to their resume of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference champions by claiming a regional title Monday at Shaeffer Memorial Golf Course.
The Wildcats won with a team score of 424. Highland was third at 438. The top two teams advance to the regional finals Monday as well as the top six individuals.
Aubrey Duncan of Columbus was second with a round of 91 and teammate Kayla Beenen was fifth with a 101. Charlie Aicher of Highland was third with a 98.
Other Columbus scores were Jobie Lekwa with a 112 and Gracie Morrison’s 120.
Highland scores were Kayla Cerny with a 110 while Joy Castenada and Emily Streb each shot 115.
Iowa Mennonite’s Kennedy Roth shot a 129.
Keota’s Frankie Johnson posted a 127, Lauren Imhoff 129 and Lindsey Imhoff 137.
KALONA - Mid-Prairie won the regional meet at Kalona with a 410 score, edging PCM’s 411.
Abbi Patterson was the champion with a 99, clipping Golden Hawks teammate Abby Statler’s 100. Emma Mattes shot a 102 to tie for fourth.
