Girls run to meet triumph

EDDYVILLE - The Washington High School girls track team won the Rocket Relays Thursday.

The Demons scored 121 points to Fairfield’s 110 for the victory.

Individual winners for the Demons were Victoria Hinson in the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 48.66 seconds, Kelsey Pacha in the high jump at a height of 4 feet, 10 inches, and Isabel Bailey in the long jump at 15-11.25.

Ashley Telleen was second in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:13.41 and second in the 100 hurdles at 17.85. Lia Fillinger was second in the 800 in 2:51.59. Pacha (1:07.25) and Leah Marek (1:07.9) went second and third in the 400. Pacha (29.99) and Bailey (30.71) were second and third in the 200 and third (14.36) and fourth (14.69), respectively, in the 100. Olivia Marek was sixth in the long jump at 13-7.

The sprint medley placed second in 2:02.26 with Elyse Hunt, Bailey, Telleen and Leah Marek. The shuttle hurdle was third with Olivia Marek, Hunt, Fillinger and Telleen in 1:17.44. The 4x8 was third in 12:25.82 with Hinson, Ellie Anderson, Addison Six and Peyton Cuddeback. Leah Marek, Olivia Marek, Hinson and Fillinger were third in the 4x4 in 4:51.65. The 4x2 was fifth with Hunt, Cloe Telleen, Kyleigh Dolan and Rylee Fishback in 2:16.11.
