Cub and family meetings galore

Twenty-four people gathered to play 10 point pitch on Tuesday, March 26. They met at the Brighton Community Building. They plan to play two more times before breaking for the year. Marlin Smith and Jerry Cline were the male winners. Connie Fritz and Edna Sieren tied for first place for the ladies.

The Krony Krew Club met March 27 at the home of Shirley Schooley in Brighton. Bridge was played at one table. Their next meeting will be held April 10, at the home of Kathryn Dickinson in Brighton.

Chapter AQ, PEO met March 26 at the home of Judy Bloom. Shirley Schooley was co-hostess. eight members were present. President Marcella Loeffler installed the new officers for the coming year. Judy Bloom gave the program and drawing caricatures of people. Marcella Loeffler posed for the demonstration. Everyone enjoyed her program. Judy is a talented artist.

The next meeting will be April 9 at the home of Joyce Dunbar. Co-hostess will be Sarah Robinson.

Jennifer Phillips and family of Johnston visited her parents Gerald and Rosemary Pacha, of Brighton, on March 23 and 24. Grandchildren Ames and Aurora had fun playing on the farm.

Jason Roberts of Brighton visited friends Josh and Tammy in Crawfordsville on March 24.

The weekly Celebrate Recovery meeting was held at the Brighton Church of God Thursday, March 28. Approximately 20 people (from the Brighton, Wayland, Washington, Mt. Pleasant and Fairfield areas) heard a testimonial on recovery from crisis in the life of a codependent woman who had used food to try to control the chaos she lived with, and who came to forgiveness of the physical, emotional and sexual abuse she had suffered throughout her life.

The next meeting, Thursday, April 4, beginning at 6 p.m. with a free meal, will feature an extended time of Praise & Worship. It is open to anyone with a hurt, habit or hang-up.
