From preschool to her senior year of high school, Jillian Schulte has never known any other school besides Keota. After she graduates on Sunday, she has plans to head for Iowa State University in the fall to major in marketing, but she’s not quite sure what she will do with that degree just yet.

After being involved in FFA, she learned she liked being involved in business and would like to pursue a career in the field.

“I love Keota and would really, really want to stay close, but I don’t know career-wise how many options I’ll have in the Keota area,” she said. “So I think I would want to stay in Iowa and close to Keota but I probably won’t still live in Keota. But I’ll come back and visit often.”

Although she may not be able to return to the Keota area after school, one thing she will take with her from her Keota education is time management skills. She said because of all the activities she was involved in, she was able to learn how to balance things and thinks this is a skill she will need throughout her career.
