Everyone and their dog is preparing for the County Fair

The activity at the Washington County Fairgrounds is picking up speed now in preparation for the Washington County Fair.

4-H dog project members started their weekly dog workouts May 8 and will continue until the county fair in July. 4-H volunteers Tracie Sedlacek and Jessica Schoonover lead the 4-H dog project sessions.

Each week they work on obedience, showmanship and agility. Members are divided into beginner and advanced sessions with almost 40 youth participating. The 4-H and FFA Dog Obedience Show is Sunday, July 14, at 3 p.m. and Monday, July 15, at 5 p.m. is the Dog Agility show. Both shows are at the Washington County Fairgrounds.
