According to a hazardous weather outlook statement from the National Weather Service office in the Quad Cities, many rivers in portions of north central and northwest Illinois, eastern Iowa, and northeast Missouri are experiencing flooding.
The service advises people to see the latest flood statements and warnings for additional details.
Light freezing rain and light snow will be possible mainly south of highway 34 late tonight into early Saturday morning.
A light dusting of snow and thin coating of ice are possible.
This weekend thunderstorms are possible Saturday in the late afternoon and early evening hours.
The potential for severe storms is low.
