Weather advisory issued for county

By David Hotle, The JOURNAL

The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a winter weather advisory today due to expected mixed precipitation.

According to the service website, total snow accumulations of about half an inch are expected in Keokuk, Washington, and Louisa counties, along with a light glaze. Slippery road conditions and redused visibility can be expected. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.

Motorist should be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
