WAYLAND ? A Wayland man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 500 block of West Third Street in Washington on a Henry County warrant for parole violation.

According to the Washington County call log, Justin Allan Dennis, 24, was arrested on a Henry County warrant for parole violation on an original charge of prohibited acts violation. He is being held on $10,000 cash only bond. Henry County picked Dennis up at the Washington County Jail.

According to previous police records, Dennis pleaded guilty in Washington County in May 2013 to manufacture, deliver, or possess with intent to manufacture or deliver methamphetamine, a Class C felony, punishable up to 10 years in prison, his court record said.

Dennis was arrested on March 18 of that year and charged with unlawfully possessing with the intent to manufacture 5 grams or less of methamphetamine, its salts, isomers or salts of isomers, or analogues of methamphetamine, or any compound, mixture, or preparation which contains any quantity or detectable amount of methamphetamine, its salts, isomers, or salts of isomers, or analogues of methamphetamine.

Dennis also pleaded guilty to two counts of forgery on Aug. 19, 2013, his court record said. As reported in The Journal on July 22, according to court records, officers met with two subjects on July 9 who said that Dennis had been forging checks on their account. The two had earlier reported that Dennis was suspected of taking cash and prescription medication. One of the subjects had gone to the bank to do some regular business and was informed the account was nearly zero. While assisting the subject, the clerk indicated two checks had been cashed and were issued to Dennis.
