Washington Police investigate suspicious death

Little information was available regarding a suspicious death reported Wednesday morning in an apartment complex at 601 W. Adams St.


 


According to a news release from the Washington County Communications Center, at approximately 7:56 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, the Washington Police Department responded to a 911 call in reference to a suspicious death in the complex. Soon afterward, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation was called to assist. The name of the decedent is being withheld pending notification of the family.


 


?This is the early stages of the investigation,? special agent Richard Rahn said. ?I will do my best to keep everyone posted as efficiently as possible.?


 


Rahn stated at this time he "just did not know" if the case would be considered a wrongful death. He did say, however,he does not believe there is any danger to the public in reference to the case.
