Washington Demon girls win one, lose one

The Washington girls basketball team would play two back-to-back games Friday, Feb. 2, and Saturday, Feb. 3.

The would win the game Friday night against Fort Madison and would lose after a hard fight Saturday to Clear Creek Amana.

Washington would have twice as many points as Fort Madison Friday night with a final score of 45-19.

Sarah Nacos would lead the team with 11 points and would have eight rebounds.

Morgan Brinning and Kira Ropp would both follow with five points each. Brinning would have two rebounds and Ropp would have five.

On Saturday, the final score against Clear-Creek Amana would be 56-60.

Nacos would be the high scorer with 13 points.

Sophomore Addison Six would have 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Freshman Ana Nacos would score nine points for the team as well.
