Two arrested afternoon fight with ax, crowbar

Two men were arrested Thursday afternoon after beating on each other?s bicycles with an ax and a crowbar.

According to the Washington County call log, Rollin J. Bontrager, 25, of Washington and Joshua Lee Holmes, 33, of Olds, are charged with disorderly conduct. Bontrager was later arrested at the Washington County Jail on a warrant for fourth-degree theft.

At 1:39 p.m., the Washington County Communications Center received a call from a business in the 400 block of North F Avenue reporting the two subjects in possession of an ax and a crowbar beating on bikes. One of the subjects had left the area, but officers located the subject.

Washington Police officials were not available Friday morning for comment on what started the incident.

According to previous Washington County call logs, both have been arrested several times. Holmes was most recently arrested in April for Washington County warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on an original charge of possession of controlled substance ? methamphetamine, first offense. Bontrager was most recently arrested in February 2017 for voluntary absence from custody.
