Symphony to play at rural church

HARPER?Saints Peter and Paul Clear Creek Heritage Association, rural Harper, will be sponsoring the 4th annual concert presented by the Southeast Iowa Symphony Chamber Orchestra on Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at the historic Saints Peter and Paul Church.

This promises to be an exceptional presentation as the Iowa Wesleyan University Chorus and The Mt.Pleasant Community Chorale will be singing the ?Gloria? along with the accompaniment of the Orchestra.

The acoustics in the church are excellent and it is a wonderful experience to feel surrounded by beautiful music.

This event is sponsored annually by the Clear Creek Heritage Association in order to provide quality entertainment to all residents and families.

There is no fee but donations are encouraged to defray the costs of the event and to help fund projects for restoration of the church.

Currently the project in progress is the restoration of the beautiful stained glass windows.

A few are finished so be sure to look and compare to see the outstanding work that Bovard Studios in Fairfield has accomplished.

Following the concert a reception will be held in the basement of the church for everyone attending.
