With a light rain and temperatures hovering around freezing all day Sunday, many accidents were reported throughout the day.
According to the Washington County call log, a subject reportedly slid into the median at 10:31 a.m. at 2000 Highway 218. The caller reported there were also two other cars in the ditch both northbound and southbound. Washington County Sheriff?s deputies responded. Under $1,500 damage and no injuries were reported. At 10:35 a.m. a vehicle was reported in the ditch at 2805 Wayland Road in Washington. An officer responded. A tow truck was on the scene on arrival. The vehicle was not towed due to weather conditions. The driver later reported he was being seen at the hospital for an injured back.
A vehicle reportedly went into the ditch at 10:38 a.m. Palm Avenue and 220th Street in Washington. Under $1,500 damage was reported and the caller had help coming. The caller was advised not to have the vehicle towed out due to weather.
At 11:07 a.m. a vehicle reportedly slid at Highway 22 and West Boise Court in Riverside and struck a white pickup. The pickup left the area. The driver of the vehicle was able to get herself out of the ditch area and went on her way. At 11:11 a.m. a deputy reported being out with a vehicle in the ditch in the 2000 block of Highway 218 in Ainsworth.
At 11:14 a.m. a car reportedly slipped in the roadway at 1179 Highway 218 in Riverside and struck a pile of snow causing damage to the front end.
A vehicle was reported in the median at 11:20 a.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of Highway 218 in Ainsworth. At 11:30 a.m. an accident was reported in the 1800 block of Highway 218 in Ainsworth. The vehicle was reported in the ditch on the northbound side. Under $1,500 damage was reported. At 11:35 a.m. a vehicle was reported in the north median at Highway 218 and 220th Street in Ainsworth. Under $1,500 damage was reported.
A semi was reportedly involved in an accident with an SUV at Highway 218 and 175th Street in Riverside at 11:40 a.m. An officer responded. Both vehicles were drivable and insurance information was exchanged.
A deputy reported at 11:45 a.m. Sunday being out with a vehicle in the ditch at Highway 218 and 150th Street in Riverside. Under $1,500 damage was reported. A vehicle was also reported in the ditch at 11:50 a.m. at Highway 218 and 220th Street in Ainsworth. A deputy reported being out with a vehicle in the ditch at 11:53 a.m. at Highway 218 and 140th Street in Riverside. Under $1,500 damage was reported. At 11:56 a.m. a vehicle was reported in the north ditch at 3272 Highway 22 in Riverside. An officer was unable to locate.
At 12:11 p.m. a hit-and-run accident was reported to a vehicle in the 600 block of South Marion Avenue in Washington. An officer responded.
At 12:15 p.m. a dep0uty reported being out with a vehicle at 1200 Highway 218 in Riverside. The vehicle appeared to have struck the bridge but did not appear damaged.
A red F-150 was reported in the ditch at 1:19 p.m. in the 2100 block of Lexington Boulevard in Washington. Officers responded. Under $1,500 damage was reported.
An accident was reported at 5:59 p.m. at 3096 Wayland Road in Wayland and vehicles along the road couldn?t get up the hill. County roads responded and the road was cleared. A vehicle that was left parked in the roadway with no lights on then ended up in the ditch. Charges are pending.
A caller reported at 6:26 p.m. that their vehicle was struck at noon in the Washington High School parking lot. Minimal damage was reported.
