The Washington County Riverboat Foundation met Wednesday evening to interview candidates to fill four openings on the board.
There were nine applicants but only seven were interviewed, WCRF executive assistant Jim Logan said.
?We just had more openings this time,? Logan added.
Four people were selected to start the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) background check, which is required to be on the board.
Shawn Ellingson, of Washington, will start immediately, once his background check is approved, Logan said. He is filling a spot left open by Kiersten Peck, who resigned from the board because she was moving out of state.
Three others were selected to start the background check process. Their term will start if the board approves their background checks at the annual meeting Jan. 18, 2018.
The three candidates include: Pat Freeman of Wellman, who will be replacing John Conway; Kathleen Brinnning of rural West Chester, who will replace Mike Driscoll; and David Erwin, of Crawfordsville, who will replace Michele Blum.
