A caller Monday evening at First Street and Highway 22 in Kalona reported a three-vehicle rear-ending accident. All vehicles were off the roadway. They were a Chevrolet Cruze, A Chevrolet Impala and a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. An Iowa State Patrol unit responded and assisted subjects in exchanging information. The vehicles were drivable. The accident was documented.

A caller Monday night in the 100 block of South Avenue H in Washington reported loose dogs in his yard again. This was the same dog reported on July 28. The subject called in again, advising that the dog was loose near some playground equipment again. An officer responded and issued a written warning to the dog?s owner for allowing the dog to run at large in the park.

The subject left the area in an unknown vehicle, going eastbound on Highway 92. An officer responded. The subject was described as a black male wearing jeans, a black T-shirt and black shoes. The subject ran two blocks east, then left going eastbound in a silver/white Cadillac. The information was documented.

Two callers Monday morning in the 700 block of West Second Street in Washington reported a subject who was going through recycling trash and taking out cans. The subject was described as a white male, 6 feet tall, wearing jeans, a T-shirt and a black hat. An officer located the subject in the area. The subject was identified and spoken to.
A male subject was reported going door to door soliciting, Monday night in the 1100 block of E Place in Kalona. He stated that he worked for Dish network. He was described as about 6 feet, 1 inch tall, wearing Khaki shorts and a gray T-shirt. Iowa State Patrol and Washington County units responded and checked the area but were unable to locate the subject. The caller was advised to call back in if the subject returned.

A caller Sunday morning in the 700 block of Sixth Street in Wellman reported a gas drive-off of $82, 20 minutes earlier. No direction of travel was available. The vehicle was a full-size van. No license plate information was available. The back window was broken out and taped up, and the operator was a younger white male with blond hair. The operator had entered the store and left without paying. An officer was advised, and the incident was documented.
