Naomi Lock, 99, of Richland, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Sunnybrook Living Care Center, Fairfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017, at Woolson Friends Church, Richland with Pastors Kevin Rohr and Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017. Memorials to Woolson Friends Church may be mailed to the family at 1759 120th Street, Packwood, IA 52580. Arrangements are in the care of Gould Funeral Home of Richland.
She was born July 10, 1918, to Forest and Beulah Jensen Olsen of Sturgeon Bay, Wis. Naomi graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1936 and from God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1945. She then served as Pastor at Hesper Friends Church, Decorah, Iowa and at Woolson Friends Church for 22 years. She married Wilfred Lock August 2, 1961 and he died in 1992.
Naomi is survived by her step-children, Lelia Kay Dvorak (Dr. Bill) of Chicago, Dennis (Kris) Lock of Packwood; five grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, one sister, and an infant grandson.
