Man held on robbery warrant

An inmate in the Washington County Jail was reportedly arrested Saturday afternoon on a warrant for second-degree robbery.

According to the Washington County call log, Michael Jason Williams, 30, of Burlington, was arrested on a Muscatine County warrant with a $50,000 cash bond. A nationwide pickup was reported on the bond.

A person commits robbery in the first degree when, while perpetrating a robbery, the person purposely inflicts or attempts to inflict serious injury, or is armed with a dangerous weapon.

Robbery in the first degree is a class ?B? felony.

A Class B felony has a maximum prison term not to exceed 25 years; may be deferred or suspended unless forcible felony.
