Low temperatures likely for weekend

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for portions of north central Illinois, northwest Illinois, west central Illinois, east central Iowa, northeast Iowa, southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri.

A northwest wind will gust over 30 mph today. Expect wind chill values in the single digits to teens this morning north of Highway 30. Near record low temperatures in the teens are forecast tonight, with wind chill values in the single digits.

Accumulating snow is likely from Sunday evening through Monday morning.

Preliminary forecast snow amounts range from 1 to 4 inches. The primary impact will be slippery travel conditions.
