Limecreek Livewires get hands-on woodworking experience

The Limecreek Livewires spent their school vacation day on Friday with a great hands-on field trip to Wellman?s Cabinet Works. The group built tool boxes and learned about the art of woodworking.

?This is a great example of the variety of hands-on learning experiences that happen in the Washington County 4-H programs,? said Amy Green, 4-H and youth coordinator for Washington County Extension.

Washington County 4-H has 17 4-H clubs for youth in grades fourth-to 12-grade and eight Clover Kid clubs, grades K-3, throughout the county. Those interested in becoming a member or volunteering, may contact Green at the Washington County Extension Office at 319-653-4811.
