The Department of Natural Resources is offering an opportunity to take a Hunter Education Course.
The course will be offered at the West Chester Heritage Building on July 24 and July 26, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and on July 28 from 8:30 to 11:45 a.m.
To register for the course, go to the Iowa DNR website and follow instructions.
Iowa law requires that each student receive a minimum of 10 hours of instruction and pass both a written test and a gun-handling test to successfully obtain a hunter education certificate. Attendance is mandatory at all sessions. Participants must be at least 11 years old to enroll in the class.
