Hawks lose to Cascade, 48-69

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks lost to No. 3 Cascade Cougars,69-48 in Wellman Friday night.

The Hawks stayed close in the first quarter, but were behind 22-32 at the half.

They were outscored by Cascade 16 to 8 points in the third quarter, falling behind 30-48 at the break.

The Hawks took the floor in the fourth quarter and matched the Cougars offensively, scoring 18 point to 21 points, but failed to reduce the deficit.

Cale Roberson led the Hawks offensively with 13 points, followed by Dominic Pickard with 7. Tom Butters led the Hawk rebounders with 8.

The Hawks are now 5 and 14 for the season. They will meet the Washington Demons Tuesday in Washington.
