The regular meeting of the United Church Women met in the Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Crawfordsville at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8. Nine ladies were present.
President Debbie Lowe called the meeting to order and the Opening Creed was read in unison. Billie Jo Rose gave the meditation with the emphasis on Mother?s Day followed by prayer.
The minutes of the April 10 meeting was approved as read and the called meeting of April 29 meeting was approved as amended. At the April 29 meeting it was announced that Gene Miller and Wayne Lowe would head the Alumni Banquet.
Pat Miller, treasurer gave the treasurer?s report and it will be filed for audit.
There was no correspondence as well as no report on local activities or Dorcas.
It was reported the usual mix of cards had been sent.
Study and Devotions/Mission Outreach: The regular offering and the Least Coin offering were taken and the Prayer for the Fellowship of the Least Coin was read together.
Old Business: The Summer Lunch Program was discussed and Clarissa Malmberg was thanked for volunteering to coordinated this. The ladies will prepare lunches and deliver them the first two weeks of June. There will be a sign-up sheet for workers and supplies.
The Rummage Sale committee was also thanked, along with all who helped.
No June meeting will be held.
The next regular meeting will be July 10. Pat Miller will have meditations and Donna Fletcher will be hostess. Dorcas will meet May 14, June 11 and 25.

Debbie thanked Ruth for being hostess. She closed by continuing the Fruits of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23 from Grace for the Moment by Max Lacado.
The Crawfordsville Lions Club met Monday, May 14, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Community Room with 13 members and one guest, Katrina Altenhofen, present.
Lion President Lance Miller opened the meeting leading the Pledge of Allegiance and Lion Larry Fletcher gave the invocation.
After a delicious meal prepared and served by Alice Hochstetler, Katrina Altenhofen, Executive Director of Hospice of Washington County gave a very interesting program on hospice services available in the area.
Following the program, the meeting reconvened. The minutes of the April 23 meeting were approved as corrected. The treasurer reported that there had been no activity in either account. Lion President Lance announced that the Columbus Junction Lions are having a breakfast Saturday, May 26 from 7-11 a.m. and encouraged members to attend. Camp Courageous is soliciting donations for solar energy panels for the camp. This was tabled until the request letter could be read to the club. Members were reminded of Crawfordsville Fun Day on July 7 and that the June 11 meeting would be held at the ball park at 6:30 p.m with a light meal to be served by the June committee. It was also noted it might be time to purchase a different stove and frig for the ball park.
