The Washington County Conservation Board hosted a second public meeting Tuesday on the development of a countywide recreational trail project. The meeting was conducted at the Kalona Public Library by Josie Matteson, a planner employed by MSA Professonal Serivces. MSA is a consulting firm working with the board and city administrators to coordinate resources in the development of a trail system. In addition to conservation officials and residents, Kalona City Adminstrator Ryan Schlabaugh attended the meeting. A finalized plan will be presented to the public in 2019 .
