The annual meeting of the Washington County Historical Society was held at the Colliver Barn, south of West Chester, on April 30, 2018. Forty-three members and guests were present.
Following a roast beef dinner catered by Ila Miller, the business meeting was held. A memorial to Pat Johnson, former board member, was given. Susan Davis was introduced as the Volunteer of the Year for her work in the yard at Conger House. She was given a plaque and a membership in the society. Terry O?Neill, Mike Kramme, and Joanne Breen were re-elected to three-year terms on the Executive Board. Tom Watson was appointed to take Pat Johnson?s place. The World War I exhibit will be continued in Conger House this year.
Following the business meeting, Hal Colliver told about his collection of advertising signs, gasoline pumps, old farm machinery and tools. The gasoline pumps light up at night and can be seen for a distance.
