The regular meeting of the Green Acres 4-H Club was held at 5 p.m. on Dec. 10. The Meeting was called to order by Ellie Bell at five o?clock. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Bailey Rees. Roll call was ?What is a bad habit you should break?? It was answered by eleven members and ten visitors were present. The secretary?s report was read and approved. The treasurer?s report was given and approved by Ally Rees and seconded by Zoey Dennler.
For old business, several members of the club shared about their experiences and the creations they made at Project Extravaganza which was held on December 2. For the December meeting, each member was to bring a wrapped regular size candy bar, and a jar or jars of peanut butter to donate to HACAP. The club will be participating in a friendly competition with another 4-H club to see how jars of peanut butter each club could collect. Sophie Bell motioned to spend $30 of the clubs funds to purchase additional jars of peanut butter. It was seconded by Bailey Rees.
For new business, The 4-H skating party will be on Jan. 21, 8 at the Wellman Skating Ring. The party will go from 1-3 p.m. and it will cost $4 to rent skates. Members were encouraged to attend and bring family and friends. Ellie Bell gave an update on the pending social media page for the club. Sophie Bell motioned to adjourn the meeting and it was seconded by Ally Rees. The 4-H Pledge was led by Natalie McCleary. The next meeting will be held on Jan. 28, at 5 p.m. at the Bell residence.
