Twenty-three 4-H?ers involved in the bucket bottle project gathered on March 5 to kick off their project season. Bucket Bottle calf projects can be born between Jan. 1 and April 30, so some of the 4-H?ers have already started their projects.
Members heard from 4-H volunteer project leaders, Bob Spenner and Nancy Adrian, on the rules, important dates, and health and feeding tips. Senior bucket bottle showman, Jillian Nafziger, Jameson Spenner and Kelsi Fair, assisted throughout the evening. Participants observed a good and bad practice interview to help prepare them for the interview component of this project which happens in July, and also reviewed the project record books. 4-H?ers enjoyed starter kits provided by Ace-N-More.
