Brighton Chapter AQ, P.E.O., opened its fall session with a social meeting.

It was held Sept. 4 at the home of Sarah Robison. Ten P.E.O. sisters enjoyed a potluck salad supper, with Diane Stacy and Cathy Rich as co-hostesses.

The evening was spent visiting and sharing pictures of vacations taken during the summer. The next regular meeting will be Sept. 18 at the home of Joyce Wilson in Washington. Barb Mottet will be co-hostess. The program will be Founders Day.

Jerry and Judy Smith, of Orono, Maine, visited his mother, Caryl Smith, Aug. 31 through Sept. 3. They enjoyed dining and visiting at the home of Caryl?s son Nelson and Jacklyn Smith.

Pat Remington, of Brighton, with friend Nita, of Rubio, enjoyed Old Threshers on Aug. 30 and Sept. 1. Pat returned to Mount Pleasant on Sept. 2, where she met her grandsons James and Christopher.

Winifred Fritz enjoyed the company of her children on Sept. 2. Those present were Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth, and Greg and Deb Fritz, all of Fairfield; and Tony and Lynn Fritz. Bridget stayed the night, returning home Sept. 3.

Winifred received a phone call from her grandson Isaac, of Springfield, Missouri. He plans to bring his fiancée for a visit at the end of September.

Tony and Lynn Fritz, with his mother, Winifred Fritz, attended the Celebration of Life for Jim Arndt, his second cousin, who died last April.

It was held at the VFW in Fairfield on Sept. 1. All of Jim?s children were present. They enjoyed seeing relatives they had not seen for years.
