Winifred Fritz was visited July 26 by her grandchildren, Julia and Sophia Fritz. They were joined that evening by their parents, Joe and Lori Fritz, of Brighton, and Winifred?s daughter Lucy Dietzman with Malcolm and Brenden, of Keosauqua.
Tim and Rita Berry, of Bates City, Missouri, arrived at the home of her mother, Winifred Fritz, on July 28. They returned home on July 30.
On July 28, a party was held for Rita Berry?s 50th birthday. It was held at the home of her mother, Winifred Fritz. Siblings Charles and Mary were unable to attend. Besides the other siblings, also present were Joel Boatright, of Fairfield, and J.D. Hollingsworth, of Packwood. They were joined later by Bridgett Hollingsworth, of Fairfield.
Mary and Joel Boatright with Bridget Hollingsworth, of Fairfield, and Tony and Lynn Fritz returned to Winifred?s home on July 29. Both evenings they all enjoyed playing horseshoes and cards.
Travis Remington with Jamie and their daughter Coraline, of Cosby, Tennessee, visited his mother, Pat Remington, on July 25. On July 26 they met in Washington at Dino?s for the noon meal. They spent the afternoon together and went to Ainsworth for a get-together with friends. They were joined in Ainsworth by Pat?s daughter Angela and Tony Garmoe with James, of Mount Pleasant. Afterward, Pat Travis, James, Coraline, Angela and Tony with James went to Riverside to dine at the casino.
Approximately 15 friends gathered for a meet-and-greet in Brighton for Travis, Jamie and Coraline. It was held at the Brighton Community Building on July 27. After this, Angela, James, Pat, Travis, Jamie and Coraline dined at Mi Pueblo Real in Washington. On Aug. 1, Pat and friend Nita, of Rubio, met Travis, Brandy and Coraline at the Frontier Family Restaurant in Washington.
Chapter AQ, P.E.O. of Brighton met for its annual BIL get-together Tuesday evening, July 31. The members met at Dave and Laurie Bennet?s barn south of Richland. There the P.E.O. sisters and their husbands enjoyed a pizza party and socializing.
Everyone enjoyed the evening, most especially the beautiful barn setting. Co-hostesses for the evening were Rose Jaynes, Judy Bloom and Rosemary Pacha.
