Lucy Dietzman, of Keosauqua, visited her mother, Winifred Fritz, on July 22. They were joined by Winifred?s children Mary and Joel Boatright, of Fairfield, and Tony Fritz.

On July 19, Tony and Lynn Fritz, of Brighton, with her daughter Elisha, of Iowa City, visited his mother, Winifred Fritz.

Mary Boatright returned to her mother?s home on July 23 to help with the yard work.

Dawn Brown with Dalton and Danica and her mother, Darlene Owens, all of Brighton, left July 21 for Kansas City, Kansas. They visited Darlene?s children, Gail Owens and Jason and Rachel Owens with Alex. They returned home on July 22.

Approximately 25 people attended a potluck-church birthday party at Brighton?s First Church of God, held July 22. Games were played and gifts were given to the church.

Ginny Brinton visited her brother, Fritz and Nancy Gowey and family in Milan, Illinois, July 20-24. On July 22 they celebrated Ginny?s birthday and her nephew Jeff?s birthday by dining out.

The Krony Krew Club met July 25 at the home of Sarah Robison. Bridge was played at one table. Their next meeting will be held Aug. 8 at the home of Kathryn Dickinson.

Brighton Chapter AQ, P.E.O., hosted a reception for Morgan Brinning, their most recent P.E.O. Star Scholarship recipient. Member Joyce Wilson, of Washington, hosted the event, with Ruth Stacy and Cathy Rich as her co-hostesses. Morgan, her mother, Kathleen, and nine members enjoyed food and visiting.

They discussed the state fair and asked Morgan about her upcoming departure to Iowa State University.
