4-H Senior Feature

TJ Durst, of Washington, is the son of Timothy and Jennifer Durst.

He attends Washington High School and is a member of the Washington Hustlers 4-H club.

His 4-H project is showing sheep and his 4-H activities include: the pancake breakfast, skating party and playing bingo at Halcyon House.

His 4-H special memory/highlight was getting to spend County Fair week with friends. Some he saw every week and others he only saw at county fair time.

?I have learned many things over the years that I have been in 4-H,? Durst said. ?The biggest thing is that hard work and dedication has the ability to pay off. It doesn?t always pay off, but when it does the feeling I get is amazing. For joining members and those that are on the fence on whether they should join or not, the best part of 4-H is the people. You will meet people from other schools and they will become your friends for life.?

Other Activities included: wwimming, FFA, UP Church Youth Group, raising sheep and ?Scoop the Poop.?

His future plans are to attend Kirkwood to double major in Energy Production and Distribution Technologies and Ag Business.
