Washington County seventh-to ninth-grade 4-H?ers are invited to attend Region 15 4-H Intermediate Trip to Chicago March 9-10. 4-H?ers will have a full experience of the city through Navy Pier, Blue Man Group performance, Shedd Aquarium, Museum of Science and Industry and Tilt 360 at John Hancock Observatory.
Iowa, Keokuk, and Johnson County 4-H?ers will also attend this trip, so it?s a perfect time to make new 4-H friends and explore this Midwest city.
Space is limited and registrations will be accepted first come, first serve. Registration forms are available at the Washington County Extension Office or found online at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/washington. Registration with $250 payment will be accepted until the trip is full or the deadline Jan. 25 at the Washington County Extension office. The fee will cover tickets, transportation, lodging, insurance, and all meals. This trip has been reduced for all Washington County 4-H participants with proceeds from the fall 4-H Butter Braid Pastry Fundraiser. The group will travel on a charter bus which leaves March 9 tentatively at 6 a.m. and returns March 10 late in the evening.
Chaperones will be needed, with half of their registration fees covered by Washington County Extension. Please contact Amy if you are interested in this opportunity to work with 4-H youth and enjoy Chicago.
